1st P-Day!
Olá!!
It's my 4th day in the HMTC and I have loved every minute of it! It is tiring for sure looking at my computer screen throughout the whole day and I have found that it's hard to keep myself moving through the day. But I have been able to go on walks with my family! Love having them as my companions at home!
When I do have time, it is spent learning Portuguese and studying. We have a little green pamphlet that we have to memorize...all in Portuguese...in just 10 DAYS! Luckily I have the best companion where we take time helping each other memorize each task. And guess what...my companion and I have already memorized the missionary purpose. In just 3 days!
My companion, Sister Matsen, is so amazing! We have had such a great time already. While I wish we could be together in person, I am so glad for the technology that allows us to FaceTime and study together!
My district is also so amazing! I have loved spending classes with them and have enjoyed all their comments and support. My testimony has surely been strengthened just from being together with them on zoom. It's amazing how just a few days can bring people closer together!
Something that stuck out to me this week was during one of our devotionals. A story was told about a missionary who just had the best attitude about his mission. He said, "I am going to have a great mission!" And while he didn't have any baptisms, he still found his mission to be successful. It's all about the attitude in which you think about things. The happier the attitude, the more you can take away from that experience. So I know that "I AM GOING TO HAVE A GREAT MISSION!"
For those who haven't heard, I got my reassignment and I am going to the Arizona, Gilbert Mission until I can get my VISA to head to Brazil! I am so excited for what this next week will bring!
I love you all!
