7 Months!!

Opaaa!  Boa tarde meu povo!! Lol!  Tudo bem com vocês?  Comin' at ya with another email!  Wow how fast time flies!  But seriously...yesterday I hit my 7 MONTH MARK!  It seriously feels like just yesterday that I was starting the mtc! Anyway, this week was alright!  It started with transfers last week on Monday and Tuesday.  My companions and I didn't get back to our apartment until about 2:30 in the afternoon!  So seriously, it was more than 24 hours of traveling.  When we got back we went grocery shopping and got to work!  Since I stayed in my area, I have had to lead the area.  Which has been fun, but a bit challenging at the same time!  I've had to explain everything about the people we are teaching, where things are, etc. Really not much to update on other than one of our baptism dates.  This baptism was going to be for this coming weekend, but we have to reschedule.  We are helping him everyday with t...

I Have How Many Companions?!

Olá gente!!!  Como vocês estão?! Ok this week was really crazy and honestly can't remember much of what happened!! Lol!!  So this email might be a little short, as I'll be trying to remember what happened! First thing, WE HAD A BAPTISM!!  Finally this baptism happened!  We had our friend, Lara, on date like 2 weeks ago but then somethings with covid happened and we had to reschedule.  So we rescheduled for today, but then today wasn't good because of transfers, so we rescheduled again for yesterday.  Haha don't know if that made sense, but the important thing is that she was BAPTIZED!!!  So, yesterday was absolutely insane!  It was crazy busy and just felt like things weren't going to stop.  We started by going to a different ward because they wanted us to speak...so yes 2 weeks in a row giving a talk lol!  I guess it makes up for the 6.5 months where I didn't speak in church lol!  Then we made it back to our ward for the las...

After 6.5 months, I finally...

Olá gente!! Tudo bem?! This week felt really busy...I mean everyday is busy for missionaries but this week especially was crazy!  The beginning of the week was normal with teaching and finding more people.  We had some really good days this week with lessons, and teaching more in person!  Other days, we had more online lessons.   Side note, teaching people in person is WAYYY better than online!!  Some people we need to teach online because the neighborhood that they live in is 1 hour and 15 minutes to walk!  And we don't have a ton of people in that neighborhood to teach, so it's hard to teach in person there.  Others live closer to the church so it's a lot easier to teach in person.   Then, from Thursday night until today, it was just crazyyyy!  Friday we had interviews with President in Rio Preto.  So you know what that means...TRAVEL DAY!!  We woke up about 5:30 and got all ready and headed out by 6:50.  We ...

FELIZ ANO NOVO!!!

Oiii boa tarde tudo!! Come vocês estão?! Heyyy what's happening?!  Can you believe it's another pday?!  I  sure can't haha! Time really flies by! Anyway, FELIZ ANO NOVO!!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!   This week was good for the most part!  Given New Year's it was hard to work because not very many people were available.  So we tried to focus on contacting people on the street.  Key words here...we tried!  New Year's Eve, around 6 pm, it was literally like a ghost town.  No one was out!!!  And then by 6:30 pm we didn't have to work more and we were allowed to go over to the other Sisters house here in Birigui.  So we packed for the night and we walked over to their house to celebrate New Year's with them! We celebrated by making some food...pastel, which I don't really know to explain lol, and cachorro quente, which is hot dogs haha!   At midnight, I woke up to the BIG BOOMS of fireworks!  I saw a few but I hon...

FELIZ NATAL! Pt 2

Image
Hello everyone!!  How's it going?  How was everyone's Christmas?!  Christmas here was different...got to be honest wasn't the best Christmas.  But there were a few things that were fun! Christmas Eve we went over to the other sisters house and all had a big dinner together!  Then we had a little Christmas devotional with our zone over WhatsApp facetime!  And then we spent the night there and walked back to our apartment Christmas morning.  Then pretty much the whole day of Christmas we spent in our apartment talking to our families!   Which of course...was the BEST part of the day!! Then later that night we had a Christmas devotional as a mission on zoom. It was good!  My mission president's wife, Sister Santos, talked about something that really made me think.  She started talking about the 3 Wiseman's Gifts to the Savior when he was born.  And then she asked us a question..."What gift would you bring to give to the Savi...

FELIZ NATAL!!!

Oiii!  Boa tarde!  FELIZ NATAL!!! How was everyone's week?  How is everyone doing?!  I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season! This email will be kinda short, so sorry about that.  But, not a ton happened this week. The biggest thing that happened this week was zone conference!  So yet again another travel day to Rio Preto!  Wednesday morning we got up about 5:30 am and we left about 6:45 am.  Then we arrived in Rio Preto just before 9 am.  Then we started our meetings and had some trainings, then we had a really yummy lunch!  After lunch, we had a white elephant gift exchange!  That was fun!  Had some really funny moments, as usual with this kind of stuff haha!! After our gift exchange, we traveled back to our area.  We didn't get back until 8 pm, so seriously we were gone the entire day!  The other thing that has happened is we've been out working on the streets everyday!  We are teaching, at lea...
