Sister Kennedy Findlay Brazil Ribeirão Preto & Arizona Gilbert Mission 2021-2022

  Opaaa!  Olá gente!!  Tudo bem??! This week went by a little slow, but like it's already another pday, what??!!! Got to be honest, I don't have a ton to say.  But here we go! First thing, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and ate tons of food!  I had some sort of a Thanksgiving meal...just a little lol!!  Sister Snow made mashed potatoes, I made some crepioca (if that's how it's spelled)...with turkey so I got some turkey haha...had a bowl of vegetables, and had a roll!  So the best "Thanksgiving meal" I could make with what I had lol!  Crepioca is like a crepe but is made with tapioca and an egg.  SO GOOD!  One of the best things I have learned to make here in Brazil! Next thing, I hit my 5 month mark this week!  Time has passed by pretty fast looking back!   Oiii!!! Como vocês estão?! Another week has gone by!  This week was really good!  We had tons of lessons and have more people who are progressing! Good news of the week...we set a baptism!!  We were so excited to set a date with our friend!  We had submitted his name to comeuntochrist.org (I think that is the right one in English...haha). And then other good news, this coming Saturday we have a baptism set!  We had a date with him but had to move it back because he was having a hard time keeping the word of wisdom.  He always told us that he wants to change and wants to quit smoking, but was having a hard time.  We worked with him and kept working with him and HE FINALLY STOPPED!  We were so excited and he truly does know that this gospel is true! These are what made my week so good!  Just so exciting! Other than that, we had a lot of celebrations for "mêsaniversarios" which is the day of the month where we turn  a month olde...

  Olá gente!!  Tudo bem?! So by the title, I went to São Paulo again this week!  And this time EVERYTHING worked out!  The system was up and running, which means I don't have to go back!  Wow how I'm glad I don't have to go back! So I left Araçatuba at 2:30 pm on Thursday and got to Ribeirão Preto about 8:30 pm that night.  We stayed the night at the Sisters house who live close to the mission office.  Then at 3:30 am we left for São Paulo, finished everything by like 1 pm and then were on our way back to Ribeirão, and then back to Araçatuba and got there about 10:15 pm.  So realllllyyyyy long day of traveling! The weather here is gettin prettyyyy hot!  It is starting to be my summer time here so I am kind of missing the cold haha!!  I drink tonssss of water everyday because of the heat!  Most of the time we are walking at lunch time because we have lunches with members.  So it's in the middle of the day when we are walking and...

  Olá!   Wow another week has gone by!  Crazy! This week was AMAZING!  On Thursday we had to travel to Ribeirão Preto for a mission tour with the area president, President Parrela. The day started at 3:45 am for me and my comp. We got up and had to be totally ready for the day because the van to take us to Ribeirão was going to be at our house at 5 am.  We were the first ones to be picked up because we are the furthest away.  So at 5 the van came, and then we picked up some other sisters, and then drove to Rio Preto which is about 2-2.5 hours away.  Here we picked up 2 more sets of sisters and then we were finally on our way to Ribeirão.  All in all, we didn't get to Ribeirão until like 10:30 or 11 am.  So it was a longgggg morning! When we got there, we had some extra time before lunch so we did a scripture study with our mission president.  He talked about the "padrão da felicidade" or the "manner of happiness" in 2 Nephi 5:27....

  Bom dia, boa tarde, ou boa noite!! Whenever you are reading this lol!   This weekend started with transfers on Monday and from my last email, which sorry it was sent out late, I got transferred to Araçatuba which is about 4-5 hours away from Ribeirão Preto.  But Monday, I couldn't leave to my new area because Tuesday I went to São Paulo, AGAIN! So Tuesday morning I woke up at like 1 am and was on the road at like 2 am.  This time there were more missionaries who went so that was fun!  We got to São Paulo at like 5:45/6 am and then waited and waited and waited until about 11:45 am.  Then we go into the federal building and go through pretty much the whole process (except for finger prints and picture) and find out that the system crashed and was down for the whole day.  So you know what that means...I get to take ANOTHER trip to São Paulo on November 12th!  Then we left to come back to Ribeirão Preto about 2 pm and got back to the mission of...
