Ready...Set...Baptisms!
Oiii!!! Como vocês estão?!
Another week has gone by! This week was really good! We had tons of lessons and have more people who are progressing!
Good news of the week...we set a baptism!! We were so excited to set a date with our friend! We had submitted his name to comeuntochrist.org (I think that is the right one in English...haha).
And then other good news, this coming Saturday we have a baptism set! We had a date with him but had to move it back because he was having a hard time keeping the word of wisdom. He always told us that he wants to change and wants to quit smoking, but was having a hard time. We worked with him and kept working with him and HE FINALLY STOPPED! We were so excited and he truly does know that this gospel is true!
These are what made my week so good! Just so exciting!
Other than that, we had a lot of celebrations for "mêsaniversarios" which is the day of the month where we turn a month older on the mission haha! Speaking of which, TOMORROW I will hit my 5 month mark! Crazy, it's gone by so fast!!
My companion and I have been having a lot of fun together!! I made it a goal to make at least one video and take at least one picture each day. So that's been fun to do!
This week we had district counsel in person which was fun! We are now allowed to have 1 district counsel in person each transfer.
Spiritual thought for this week! I was reading the Book of Mormon one day for personal study. I read in 2 Nephi 4 and I liked verse 34. It's where Nephi says he will always trust in the Lord.
The first part of the verse says, "O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever." This has been something I have learned a lot over my mission so far. I have found that when I put my trust in the Lord and put God first, everything works out and miracles happen! So I challenge you all this week to find a way to put God first in everything and you will see miracles!
Well that's all I got for this week! I hope everyone had a good week as well and is doing well!
Love you all! Amo vocês!!
