I bet you can guess the title of this email...São Paulo pt 3!

 Olá gente!!  Tudo bem?!

So by the title, I went to São Paulo again this week!  And this time EVERYTHING worked out!  The system was up and running, which means I don't have to go back!  Wow how I'm glad I don't have to go back!
So I left Araçatuba at 2:30 pm on Thursday and got to Ribeirão Preto about 8:30 pm that night.  We stayed the night at the Sisters house who live close to the mission office.  Then at 3:30 am we left for São Paulo, finished everything by like 1 pm and then were on our way back to Ribeirão, and then back to Araçatuba and got there about 10:15 pm.  So realllllyyyyy long day of traveling!
The weather here is gettin prettyyyy hot!  It is starting to be my summer time here so I am kind of missing the cold haha!!  I drink tonssss of water everyday because of the heat!  Most of the time we are walking at lunch time because we have lunches with members.  So it's in the middle of the day when we are walking and man let me tell ya, it it HOT!
I put sunscreen on, don't worry I'm not getting fried!  Lol!!  Although I do have some tan lines going so I think I'll keep working on those haha! 
We are struggling to find people to teach.  We don't have very many people that are really interested in hearing our messages.  So that makes the days hard.
We are teaching one guy, Micael, and he is really interested!  He always has a ton of questions for us.  They are hard to answer, one because of the question and two because of the Portuguese.  Some things are easier to understand so I can kind of answer them, but I can't answer them very well in Portuguese.  But we talk to him like everyday and every lesson he just is always so interested!  So hopefully we can ask him to be baptized soon!  
Well honestly I don't have much from this week.  It was a good week, pretty tiring from all of the traveling, but a good week!!
I got to call my Grandpa Jack on Saturday for his birthday and that was so nice! So FELIZ ANIVERSÁRIO Grandpa Jack!  I loved being to talk to you and the family!

MTC Complete! Off to the field!

Olá!! This week was bittersweet and a roller coaster of emotions.   First thing was family goodbyes.  Last weekend was a time full of fun just being able to spend time with each other.  I'm grateful for my brothers who took the time to come home to spend the weekend with me.  I love them both sooo much and will miss them greatly!  The goodbyes were sooooo hard.  I feel like I just did this with their missions.  Second thing, it was my last week in the MTC :(  I can't believe 6 weeks have passed already.  I have loved every minute of it and I feel I learned so much!  While it was hard staring at my screen for 6+ hours a day, my district and my instructors made it worth it!  I love all of them so much!   We had such fun times in class whether learning how to teach a certain principle, playing connect 4, or learning slang terms to use in Brazil lol, we always made the best of the situation.  I'm so gratefu...

Choose to be Happy!

Oiii gente! This week went by so fast! This last week was full of trainings with our mission president and his wife.  Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday we had trainings.  It almost felt like I was back in the home mtc doing classes on zoom again haha. I couldn't understand much, only a little bit.  But from what I could understand, I learned about becoming an effective missionary and learned about repentance. My week, I felt like, was centered around repentance.  It started with my parent's emails to me.  During their stake conference, they had Elder Mike Jones there, and he said that "repentance begins when our behavior changes."  (Thanks dad for sending me this in your email!)  Looking back, this line had set the mood for the rest of the week.   Also, during one of our trainings, my mission president talked about how we need to have faith to repent.  True repentance cannot be done without faith in Jesus Christ and faith in the power of Chr...

New comp and new area!

  Oii meus amigos e família! This week has been a little crazy and a lot happened. Tuesday I actaully got transferred to a new area and a new companion.  Her name is Sister De Paula. We cover two areas since there's not a whole lot of missionaries here.  We are in Jardim Palmares and Jardinópolis.   Wednesday, we got up and did out studies and then had lunch.  After lunch we went to the church that is just up the street so we could work.  We go there everyday since we can get wifi while we work. Then Thursday was my first zone conference!  It was the first time being in person again since covid and it was fun to see all the missionaries there.  We had a day full of training and ate a yummy lunch! Side note, the food here is AMAZING!!!  We have rice and beans with every lunch with a type of meat and sometimes potatoes, and other things.  We get lunch delivered to us everyday so that is nice!  We get so much food I can't even eat...
