2 months down!!!
Olaaaa!!!
Wow I can't believe I'm writing another email! This last week has seriously flown by!
Today marks 2 months since I've been a missionary! Yay!
There's honestly not a ton to update on this week. I am still getting used to the language. I still can't understand what people say. They talk sooo fast but I'm learning each and every day!
Some people we are teaching either can't say Findlay or they just don't remember haha. So, they call me Sister Kennedy (but they pronounce it with a g instead of a d).
We have a few people that we are teaching that we want to ask to get baptized! So that is exciting and we are hoping for that soon! So stay tuned for coming emails in hopes for some baptisms!!
The work this week was really slow. We do almost all of our work online so we are constantly calling people. And most of the time people don't answer so it makes the time go really slow.
We had district council this week on Tuesday and they had me give a spiritual thought...which I was nervous about because of the language. But I got through it...it was a little slow but hey it gave me some practice.
I talked about what I studied that morning. I studied in the first lesson about how God is our loving Heavenly Father and that we are His children. And that He loves us!
I love these short and simple sentences. These help me understand the gospel and the nature of God. These help me understand how God has a plan for each of us. He knows us individually!
I also read John 3:16-17 that says, "For God so loved the world that he sent his Only Begotten Son..." I love this scripture! I love this because of its message. God sent Jesus Christ BECAUSE He loves us! And Jesus Christ performed the Atonement BECAUSE He loves us!!
Well that's it for this week!
Amo vocês!! Love you all and miss everyone!
Pictures this week!
