New comp and new area!

 Oii meus amigos e família!

This week has been a little crazy and a lot happened.

Tuesday I actaully got transferred to a new area and a new companion.  Her name is Sister De Paula.

We cover two areas since there's not a whole lot of missionaries here.  We are in Jardim Palmares and Jardinópolis.

Wednesday, we got up and did out studies and then had lunch.  After lunch we went to the church that is just up the street so we could work.  We go there everyday since we can get wifi while we work.

Then Thursday was my first zone conference!  It was the first time being in person again since covid and it was fun to see all the missionaries there.  We had a day full of training and ate a yummy lunch!

Side note, the food here is AMAZING!!!  We have rice and beans with every lunch with a type of meat and sometimes potatoes, and other things.  We get lunch delivered to us everyday so that is nice!  We get so much food I can't even eat it all.  So I'll save it for leftovers.  But everything I have eaten has been SOOO GOOD!  I highly recommend eating Brazilian food if you haven't tried it already!

Back to zone conference, of course it was all in Portuguese and I couldn't understand a whole lot.  But I was able to get some things out of it.  There was a lot about loving people so we can help them come unto Christ.  There are 3 things we can invite others to do...1) come and see, 2) come and help, 3) come and stay.  I think these are simple ways that we can share the gospel and bring others unto Christ.

Friday was just a normal day, not much happened.  Saturday was normal other than the fact that we had to go pick up lunch.  And the member's house we had to go to was an hour away by walking.  It actually wasn't too bad, other than the fact that it was a long walk.  But then the member gave us a ride home which was nice haha.  So I am a little confused on why we had to walk there?

Sunday we got to go to church and I met some of the members.  They are soooo nice and know when to speak slower for me to understand them.  Almost everyone I have talked to can't believe the color of my eyes lol it's like they've never seen blue eyes.  They can definitely tell that I'm American!

My portuguese is coming along...while it is still hard to understand the people here, because they talk so fast, I am able to understand a few more things each day.

Not much else to really update on.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Amo vocês!! Love you all!
