Essas são todas suas galinhas? Are these all your chickens?

 Oiiii gente!!

Wow another week has gone by!  This week was hard, not going to lie.  We have had tons of struggles with our contacting both online and on the streets.

We had tons of people hang up on us or on the streets people will quickly go back into their houses so they avoid talking to us.  We don't get very many contacts but my companion and I remind each other to just keep going.  We also have to remind ourselves that we are doing the Lord's work!!

I do have a couple stories from street contacting this week!  One day this week we walked about 30ish minutes away from the church.  We had talked to a few people, but there honestly isn't a lot of people on the streets.  We had talked to this really nice couple for about 10 minutes.  And after that we started to head back to the church.

We had stopped at this little corner store and were talking to some of the workers.  After talking for a couple of minutes, we decided to buy something to try.  We got these like meat and cheese croissant type things (don't remember exactly what they are called haha, but they were pretty good!) So the workers gave us our goods and a receipt thing to take up to the counter to pay for them.  However...my companion had just stood up from getting some money out of her backpack and then she just started to walk out...money in hand and everything!  I was a little confused and as we started walking back I said, "wait, they just gave those to us?"  My companion stopped and looked at me like "oh no!"  Haha so of course we went back to pay for them...don't worry we didn't steal.  But it was just funny!!

And then another day we were in a different area contacting people on the street.  We came across this woman and there were a ton of chickens walking around.  So my companion asks, "are these all your chickens?"  Haha!

A little back story with this...when we report to our district leader about our work, we tell him about our struggles with contacting.  He told us to find new,  creative ways to start talking to people.  So, that's what we did.  We asked about the chickens.  I guess you could say that is a new way to start talking to people.  We ended up getting the woman's number so it worked lol!!

Anyway Saturday we had our FIRST meal with members!!  That was exciting!  And then Sunday was the first Sunday with both hours in person so there were a ton more people at church than before!  So we got to meet and talk with a lot of the members which was fun!

I think that's all for the week!  But I do want to share something that I read this week.

I read a talk given at the Provo MTC in 2007 called "Becoming a Consecrated Missionary" by Tad R. Callister.  There is a part that talks about giving it our all and realizing the underlying love of the Savior's sacrifice.

I really liked this line that says, "Once we feel that, as well as understand that (the underlying love of the Savior's sacrifice), we will be driven to give our all.  We will realize that our all is a small repayment for his all."

I absolutely loved this because it was a good reminder to me this week to just keep trying.  I think we can all learn from this to just give it our all!  The Lord sees our efforts and is there to help us but He wants us to try!

Ok that's all I got for this week!

Eu amo muito vocês!!  Love you all!  Hope everyone is doing well!
