Transfers...A haunted house...The Sisters are FAMOUS!

 Hello everyone!!! How's everyone doing!?

I don't have a ton of time to write things today, so I will do a few updates...
1. Last week was transfers and I was transferred to an area on the opposite side of the mission called Franca!
2. I am senior companion now and I have been working on getting used to that.  My companion is really nice and we have a good time!  Her name is Sister Barbosa!  She is from Manaus.
3. I am loving the area and it's just a tad bit cooler here so I am wayyyy excited about that!!
4. THE SISTERS ARE FAMOUS!  Haha we white washed our area... And sisters haven't been in this ward for like 3 or 13 years...I know that's a big difference but I have heard both so I'm not exactly sure how much time haha!  Let's just say it's been a reallyyy long time that Sisters have been in Franca!
5. I thought my apartment was haunted for two nights lol!  Long story short, I heard banging and knocking sounds on the wall, and our power going out!  Turns out our fan is super loud for the neighbors so they would knock on the walls and they TURNED OFF OUR POWER!
6. We haven't had a working stove for 2 weeks!  We got a different stove which works, but then our gas wasn't working.  So we actually got that all figured out today!  So now I won't be starving haha not actually! 
7. We set a BAPTISM DATE!  So we will be having a baptism this next Sunday!  We found him through a family where not everyone is baptized.  His brother and his mom are baptized, so we have been teaching the rest of them and helping them return to church! 
Honestly, that's just about all I got for these last few weeks! 
These last few weeks I have thought a lot about our Savior and everything he has done for us!  I have been able to see so many miracles in missionary work and in my life!  I know that our Savior loves us and knows what we go through! I know that he is by our side each and every step of each and every day!

MTC Complete! Off to the field!

Olá!! This week was bittersweet and a roller coaster of emotions.   First thing was family goodbyes.  Last weekend was a time full of fun just being able to spend time with each other.  I'm grateful for my brothers who took the time to come home to spend the weekend with me.  I love them both sooo much and will miss them greatly!  The goodbyes were sooooo hard.  I feel like I just did this with their missions.  Second thing, it was my last week in the MTC :(  I can't believe 6 weeks have passed already.  I have loved every minute of it and I feel I learned so much!  While it was hard staring at my screen for 6+ hours a day, my district and my instructors made it worth it!  I love all of them so much!   We had such fun times in class whether learning how to teach a certain principle, playing connect 4, or learning slang terms to use in Brazil lol, we always made the best of the situation.  I'm so gratefu...

Choose to be Happy!

Oiii gente! This week went by so fast! This last week was full of trainings with our mission president and his wife.  Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday we had trainings.  It almost felt like I was back in the home mtc doing classes on zoom again haha. I couldn't understand much, only a little bit.  But from what I could understand, I learned about becoming an effective missionary and learned about repentance. My week, I felt like, was centered around repentance.  It started with my parent's emails to me.  During their stake conference, they had Elder Mike Jones there, and he said that "repentance begins when our behavior changes."  (Thanks dad for sending me this in your email!)  Looking back, this line had set the mood for the rest of the week.   Also, during one of our trainings, my mission president talked about how we need to have faith to repent.  True repentance cannot be done without faith in Jesus Christ and faith in the power of Chr...

New comp and new area!

  Oii meus amigos e família! This week has been a little crazy and a lot happened. Tuesday I actaully got transferred to a new area and a new companion.  Her name is Sister De Paula. We cover two areas since there's not a whole lot of missionaries here.  We are in Jardim Palmares and Jardinópolis.   Wednesday, we got up and did out studies and then had lunch.  After lunch we went to the church that is just up the street so we could work.  We go there everyday since we can get wifi while we work. Then Thursday was my first zone conference!  It was the first time being in person again since covid and it was fun to see all the missionaries there.  We had a day full of training and ate a yummy lunch! Side note, the food here is AMAZING!!!  We have rice and beans with every lunch with a type of meat and sometimes potatoes, and other things.  We get lunch delivered to us everyday so that is nice!  We get so much food I can't even eat...
