Soup for daysss!!!
Bom diaaa!!
Well this week was pretty boring...but filled with lots of spiritual experiences for me!
My companion was sick for the entire week. 😢😢 Monday at the end of pday we went to the emergency room and thought that she would be fine after a few days. But she wasn't getting better so Friday we were back at the emergency room. This time they were able to find out what was going on. She still wasn't feeling all that great this weekend but today she's feeling so much better and we are back to normal work, I hope so!
One day this week, some members brought us some soup for my companion to eat. And she made sooo much!! My companion says she doesn't even like soup so I've been the one to eat it. I've been eating soup for daysss...and we still have some! Lol!!
So this week I was calling people and doing things by myself every day. I honestly didn't really know what to do with my time haha because I had so much time with so little to do.
So to fill the time, I studied, read my scriptures, read the Book of Mormon to get a bit ahead on the challenge, and yeah! For "church" yesterday, I watched the movie about Jospeh Smith and the Restoration and Meet the Mormons, and the documentary about Thomas S. Monson! Haha I had lots of time to fill so I thought why not!!
There was a talk I read that my mission president's wife sent to me. And yes again, advice from my mission mom!! She is the best and I love her so much!
It was a talk by Henry B. Eyeing called, "Tested, Proved, and Polished" and yes again about our trials and what Heavenly Father is trying to do during trials. What I learned from this talk is that with each trial and with each lesson we learn, Heavenly Father is trying to polish us just a little bit more so we can become like Him.
After all that is our goal, our purpose of why we are here on the earth...to learn and grow and become like our Heavenly Father each and every day! God is our creator, and through every trial we face, we are still being created into the creatures that He wants us to become. So He finds the spot, yes even the smallest of spots, that needs to be polished and He polishes it. He continues to polish until that day where we can be perfect!!
I absolutely loved that this week. This week I definitely needed this extra time to myself. It's hard to get that time on a mission...being with a companion everyday 24/7! But I was happy to get some time to myself to be able to think and ponder. And I am so grateful for this talk I read! I HIGHLY recommend that you read it!!
Anyway, that's it for this week!!
I hope everyone is doing well!
